Pet Companionship in Newport Beach

As we grow older, sometimes it seems that we lose more and more from job losses to relationships coming to an end, even on “bad terms” if one or the other person does not want to be cordial. This even includes the loss of a loved one, which continues to hold as the number one spot for outcomes such as anxiety, depression, and grief. Sometimes, even death.

With A-1 Home Care, we never want our senior patients to ever be or feel alone no matter what. We understand the importance of having the best support team as possible from family to friend to even the working relationship between our caretakers and their patient. Although, our caregivers provide as much as possible to our patients, sometimes there are other ways to help our seniors feel more relaxed, secured, and even happier.

If there are no allergies and, of course, with doctor’s approval due to some medication directions and side effects, it is highly encouraged that our seniors own a pet. Studies have shown that owning a pet has not only increased in an individual’s physical health due to walking the dog, etc. but mental as well.

Some pets to own that are easier to look after than most are:

  • Cats
  • Dogs
  • Hamsters
  • Parakeets
  • Rabbits
